Documenting Six Months of Parenthood | An Edmonton In-Home Family Session
Alexandria and Declan wanted to celebrate their little one’s six-month milestone with an in-home family photography session. I’ve now had the privilege of photographing their journey, from their maternity session to their in-home newborn session, and now this one. Alexandria shared that they wanted each session to blend together and show the continuation of their story as they settle deeper into parenthood.
When we did their maternity session, they brought their chess board along, which created some really fun and unique photos. I love how we continued that theme throughout each of their sessions. They spent the afternoon playing a (semi-competitive 😉) game of chess, reading some of their favourite books to their little one, and soaking up some quiet moments as a family. We also had some sweet appearances from their fur babies throughout the day.
Alexandria and Declan are two of the most down-to-earth, genuine people I’ve met. I’m so honoured to now call them my friends and to continue documenting their family’s story as they grow together through parenthood.
If you're interested in an in-home family session or would like to document your family's story in a meaningful, relaxed way, I'd love to connect with you.
